How Rubies work
One page, no small print hidden elsewhere. A Ruby is a counter we invented to keep score at our own tables. It has no exchange rate, no cash value and no life outside this site.
Where they come from
Four free sources, one optional one
Four of these cost nothing and always will. The fifth is a purchase, and it is the only part of Ruby Fever that involves real money at all.

The four free sources are not trials and do not run out. Nothing at any of the seven tables is locked behind a pack.
The limits
What a Ruby does and does not do
It does
- Stake a round at any of the seven tables
- Go up and down as those rounds are settled
- Sit in this browser's storage, waiting, between visits
- Reset to the opening figure the moment you ask
It does not
- Convert into money, at any rate, by any route
- Buy goods, services, vouchers or prizes
- Move to another player, or to another site
- Enter a draw, a raffle, a sweepstake or a leaderboard with a prize
- Improve your odds when there are more of it
Because Rubies are not money, nothing at Ruby Fever is gambling in the legal sense, and nothing on this site can be won or lost in any way that touches your bank. That is a deliberate design decision, not a temporary arrangement.
Where the balance lives
The balance lives in the browser
Nobody signs up at Ruby Fever, so no server anywhere holds a figure against your name. The balance goes into your browser's local storage under the key rf_purse, beside the moment the daily gift was last taken. Neither value ever reaches us.
What follows from that: clear the site data, open a private window, change browser or pick up another device, and you begin again on 12,500 Rubies. Free Rubies are beyond our power to restore, since we never held them. A pack is a different matter — keep the order reference and write in.
